St. Paul's Catholic Elementary School Reviews

Wonderful school, wonderful community of parents. My daughter loves it!

Our children started their schooling at another local diocesan school. For years their standardized tests showed them to be just above average. This seemed very odd since both had straight A's on their report cards year after year. It did not add up to us. We switched schools and after 2 years at St. Pauls their standardized test scores are now in line with their report cards. The other diocesan school was not properly educating our kids. There should be no reason why straight A students score average on the national tests. Our kids test scores are now in line with the national tests and we attribute that to St. Pauls, its teachers and Ms. Joanne Leskanic (the new school principal) who is bringing in the correct books, supplemental materials and encouraging teachers, students and staff. We are thrilled to be a part of this community.

I sadly read the last post. Simply untrue. We are baptists. Our son has attended St. Pauls for three years. Never has he, nor any member of our family, been treated any differently. To the contrary, St. Pauls is a warm, inviting and thriving school and the administration has an open door policy. Any issue that is of concern to any parent is a concern of the teachers and the administration. As for little activities, also untrue. Our son is a member of the boys basketball team and the boys softball team. Our niece is on the girls soccer team and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. This school offers every activity sanctioned by the diocese. We have been asked to help raise funds, as all schools do. No more, no less. The previous post sounds suspect. Anti-catholic? The focus is always onthe kids! Great School.

We enrolled our children in St, Pauls after a miserable experience with another Diocesan school. We could not be happier. The teachers are first rate and empower the kids to learn. Our children now have a complete curriculum and are scoring very well on their report cards and stadardized tests. The new principal is implementing new policies and holding students, teachers, parents and staff accountable for education, discipline and communication. The administration has implemented advanced reader and, soon , advanced math. The Pastor is a blessing. He has his fingers on the day to day operations of the school and Parish and he has prioritized education. St Pauls is everything a parent expects from a Catholic school. Make it a point to tour the school and meet the teachers and the adminsitration.

St. Paul's is very lucky to have acquired such a great teaching staff and in addition, a wonderful new principal, Joann Leskanic. She has brought the school together this year in many ways. Academics have always been a vital part of the school, but this year the Accelerated Reader program has been added as well as Jr. Honor Society. Our sports teams have also acceled over the past few years. Many of our graduates are still doing very well at BKHS and BJSHS as well as public schools they are attending. My children have been at the school for 7 years now and would be crushed if they had to leave. They have truly been in a remarkable environment and have learned well above their grade level. A great value for the money!

My son started prk this year and I am satified with the level of competency. Great school very inviting for parents and students.

The St. Paul's Principal/Teacher Leadership Team cannot be beat! My child has been at St Pauls since PK, now in 1st. With this wonderful teaching staff he has thrived academically and socially. This year, he has even noticed the leadership and organizational improvements and he appreciates this! Students are expected to respect and care for others, to do their best, to be responsible, and to challenge themselves. This is a great school to be a part of!

Our children started this year at St. Paul's and love it. They attended the summer camp at St. Paul's to make friends and are now feeling so welcome and included in all aspects of their schooling.

My son went to Ruth N. Upson for 2yrs and is on his 3rd year with St. Paul's and is doing much better scholastically. The principal and front office staff are extremely welcoming and know most every parent's name and face.

I like this school, its small and your kids are safe. its also one of the most economicals catholic school. They go to church every week and my girls love going there.

We've had children in St. Paul's for 6 years and could not be happier. The school yields balanced and well-rounded children who thrive academically. St. Paul's stresses responsibility and accountability but in a caring environment where teachers, students and parents all work together. It's a great school!

Love the school, great with our daughters.. I most certainly would suggest this school to any parent.

Best kept secret in Jacksonville! Very attentive, caring faculty that is easily approached about issues. They really work to keep you informed about your child's progress. Small size doesn't let any troubled children 'fly under the radar.' Tuition costs are very reasonable for a private school. Has a genuine caring, family environment. Our children, and their classmates, have thrived there.

St. Paul's provides a well rounded academic program that is challenging yet affordable.

The education offered is excellent. Many activities (chorus, cheerleading) are very poorly organized. The principal is very nice, but has not served our needs effectively.
