Cedar Creek Christian School Reviews

Like everything there are pros and cons. I have 3 in the school. Nothing is perfect but it is better than public!!!

This year, Cedar Creek has gone above and beyond in order to get my child into college. She is dual enrolled and everything possible is being done to prepare her for college life. The staff is cooperative and they are big on communication. They offer one on one tutoring and more after school events and clubs than ever. The principle is honestly concerned about the children and their education.

I have 2 children that attend the school. One has struggled in public school. I am very pleased with his progress! I think this is a great school with very qualified teachers.

Cedar Creek and an excellent 2nd half during the 2007-2008 school year. The 2008-2009 school year is looking even better. New teachers, new electives and more students. Expectations are higher. This is the school you want your student in! If you are looking for quality education, excellent moral values, and a school able to meet your individual student's needs, then visit Cedar Creek Christian School. They are raising the bar...acheiving excellence...and ready to meet each and every challenge.

I attended Cedar Creek and it was an okay school it needs ALOT of improvements. Their standards are low, their were teachers who slacked at their jobs. when i got out of that school and went to a public school i was behind because Cedar Creek wasnt teaching me the stuff they should of been teaching me.

i am parent with a son that attends cedar creek, it started as a great experience, it's not a good situation, this will be my son first and last year. the communication is horrible, the principal is never around, and they don't watch the kids like they should.

my child has gone through 3 different teachers in this year. this is the first time that my child has been a student. the extra services are acceptable but the there should be more communication between extra services and teachers. like the fact that the scholarship covers all costs so, there is not a extra burden on the parents. more time should be put in the 5th grade students and classes.

This is the first year my child is enrolled in Cedar Creek. His teacher is awesome. The communication between parent and teacher is wonderful! I cannot say enough good thing about his teacher. She is very patient and makes learning fun.

excellent, new changes for the better. This school has proven that it is an up and coming great school to Jacksonville. The morals and values that are taught at home are enforced at school. The changes and new staff are for the better. God moves in ways that is for a reason, he has blessed Cedar Creek with wonderful students and teachers.

I have kids that go to school at Cedar Creek. The school has undergone many changes. They have a new principal, vice principal, certified and degreed teachers. So far the communication has been awesome compared to the previous years, as well as great parent/teacher involvement to help the kids move closer to obtain credits to graduate. All staff seem to go above and beyond to help the kids out. All the kids seem to be treated and disciplined EXACTLY the same. They show no favorites which has been a problem in the past. So kudos to the new staff! Great job so far.

Very Disappointed with the way the school is operated. They said they are set up for ADHD. They do not focus on problems. Anytime there is a problem. 'please pick up your child'! etc.I'm Home Schooling next year. Better results.

my son has been attending Cedar Creek for the last year. I am very happy with the way the school is run. The teachers keep me updated on how my child is doing. I like that they use the Abeka program as this challenges the students to work harder.

I have two children there on McKay scholarships they will be graduating soon. This school has done wonders for my children. They would not make it in a public school. I have never had a problem with the teachers. More parents need to get involve with their children. Teachers only can do so much.

I had several children attended this school. They were on Mckay. The communications is really bad. There is need for a great deal of improvement.

My mom is a teacher there and yes the teachers get agravated but the kids could try to put more effort in to. Its a two way thing that has to happen.

My daughter is in her 2nd year of attendance, she is in Jr. High .. on the M/kay schoalarship. I am happy with the school and teachers, the work standard they expect is increased this year, last year I am not sure they were at grade level. I think that they instill good values and morals to the students which to me is alot more than any public school. I would however like a little more communication on progress of my child.

My son has the McKay scholarship and did somewhat ok last year. This year they have doubled the class size and put him with a teacher that does not want to teach. She is unwilling to use the suggestions provided by their own therapists and she has used words such as terrible, and nothing I can do with him. Highly suggest looking at all alternatives before deciding to place a special needs child at this school. They have next to refused to show me what they spend his Mckay dollars on after several requests. My child is isolated from the other students from the moment he walks thru the door.

Our child has attended this school for serveral years under The McKay Scholarship. We've noticed it has been difficult to get teachers to communicate with us regarding our childs progress. As for the schools communication with us regarding the 2006-2007 school year and facility, field trip information, school athletic activities, etc...we've found this lack of communication to be very stressful and try not to convey these feelings of insecurity and uncertainty to our child. It is the middle of July and we still have no clue as to where this school will be having classes. We are quite upset over this issue alone.

Not sure the school is teaching at grade level.

Overall, I think this is a good school. There isn't as much on-going communication as I would like about my child's progress, though. I also think there needs to be more individualized instruction. I do think my child is safe there and I do think they strive to instill good moral values in each child.

Yes...i have two children in cedar creek christian school and i think that if they were a little bit nicer to the students they could actually get more work done and do better. My son comes home every day and tells ,me that its toi strict and he doesn't know how anyone could get 10 books done in that kind of environment.
