Terry Parker High School Reviews

I went to Terry Parker for 6 months and I like it. Im from Oklahoma and I had a great time the teachers were great and the students were very nice....

The school needs to follow rule on discipline for all students. Teacher should not have to put up with unruly students. There very disrespectful (students).

Terry Parker is not a good school. My son has started failing this year. Teachers don't care or call you. No detention (no funding for it) I am putting my child in private school next year or moving!!!

Teachers appear to be stressed out. They are standoffish. The PTA seems to be non-existent. I paid my dues months ago, however I have never seen or heard anything from them, despite my calls.

I'm an '06' graduate of a Terry Parker, and my 4 years there were the best 4 years of my life. The teachers, and academics are amazing.

Terry Parker is a great school that works hard to educate and help students.

Both my children went to Terry Parker High School..and lucky for me they are at UNF..That school is a dissappointment to me.

It was 'ok' when my daughter went there. She graduated in 2001. It had begun its decline then. The arts are a major concern to me. They recently shut down the band program at Arlington Middle, so now the only school feeding into TP is Fort Caroline Middle. The once top-rated Terry Parker Marching Braves will soon be a thing of the past. That will be a sad day for both the spirit ofthe school and the spirit of the community. Why can't the Duval County School Board do their job and manage our schools properly? That is what I want to know!

Alright school, could be better

Great curriculum, structured atmosphere, wonderful foundation!

Landstown High School has the best teaching, administrative, and volunteer staff in the city. The students are also very accepting of eachothers differences, and it is the healthiest high school environment I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Excellent technology, art, music, and sports dept. Just look at all of the top notch sports teams coming out of this school. This is the best school in the city, plus its the newest, opened in 2000.

Lots of extracurricular activities. Quality of the building can be better. Class sizes average. A great diversity of students. Good honors program.

Parker is a good school relative to the rest of the schools in duval county. With one of the most diverse populations in the state it is a great life learning expirience by attending TPHS. With a school of over 2100 students there are only about 20-30 trouble makers which the administration does a good job of controlling. As far as schools in duval county it is one of the best.

Terry Parker High School has a grade from the State of Flordia that is a 'D'. Not impressive. Does the Board of Education not realize that these children are the future? Maybe the Board of Education and every teacher/parent should take a look at the No Child Left Behind Act a little bit closer, you may learn a thing or two.
