Woodland Acres Elementary School Reviews

this school is the best ever i have let my child go there til the pk 3

My daughter is in 3rd and she loved her teachers and looked forward to school. She also has a love for reading, where as it was a chore before.

They have excellent teachers and staff. They makes sure the kids get the help they need to succeed. I'm grateful that my child goes there and get the education he needs

I am very dissatisfied with this school and duval county school in general. They have a really great agenda available to use, but it's not used to it's full potential. In fact my son rarely used his at all and it was never checked by the teacher. My son transferred to Woodland Acres in the middle of his 3rd grade year. I was never notified that my son was not turning in homework or that he failed 3 tests. I requested a conference I never got. All around I am very dissatisfied with this scool.

Woodland Acres has a really great Pre-K program. My daughter learned alot when she was a student there that is really helping her in school now.

The academic prgrams at this primary school seemed to be well in order at the beggining of the year, as the year has progressed my childs class has become over crowded and I find that his teacher no longer has time to do reviews or even address his issues for minor special needs, (A.D.D,) because she is attending to her over crowded classroom of 20 students with rangin special needs from developmental top behavioral. Music, Art, and P.E. are offered once a week for my sons class. Parent involvement is attempted, I have one parent-teacher conference for my son, at my request.

I find Woodland Acres not to be a very good school for ESE students. My experience with this school has been very bad. My grandsons are ESE and get no help or support from this school or the counslers. My grandsons did not receive any help in the areas that they are struggling in which is math and reading. I felt the school should have used every device at their disposal to help them.
