Paxon Middle School Reviews

First of all, I'm a student at Pxon Middle, and most of the parents' reviews are wrong. They have never experienced what it's like to go there. It is very fun, and teachers do all they can do to help us. I agree with one of the reviews, about the the reputation is based on the students. That is partially true, but it doesn't mean the school is terrible, itself. I have fun at that school, and I love most of the teachers, and I am in advanced classes, and I get the education I deserve. And so does everyone else. Parents have no right to judge this school unless, they too, have experienced it.

This school does not even rate. Paxon is such a joke, not a school. I went there for half of 7th grade, the so called teachers did not know how to teach, and they had extremely unprofessional behavior. In English, none of the stuff made sense at all, it was dumbed down to fit those kid's standards and put me behind, really, who reads a 1st grade level book in 7th grade? The office staff was also extremely rude, not willing to help or anything, they're just looking for something to do besides work at fast food restaurants. The majority of the students in there seriously need to be institutionalized. They don't deserve a chance to straighten up, because they wouldn't even take it.

The only reason this school has a bad reputation is because of the students. The teachers and administrators are always doing their best to keep them under control but they unfortunately refuse. I graduated from middle school here last school year. Since this school is now officially IB, they are becoming much better. Even though i was a magnet student, I had to ride the bus for many hours just to come to the school. It was all worth it. Just consider what you are saying and please do not judge this school badly unless you have experienced it.

I can honestly say 'Paxon Middle is Gone with the Wind. Not only are there substitutes, but most don't know the subject matter. Unruly students,no, don't blame them; they follow by example, No positive or authortive example is set at that place (school is not a name applied to that place). Where are our property taxes going? I think we have a right as tax payers to demand a qualified head to the that place. My child is in sixth grade and we are utilizing another address for the next school year. If you can't move I'll suggest the same or let's get together and meet the school board.

If this is your target middle school and you have any possible way of moving, I would strongly advocate that you move. I understand that this seems like a very sorry thing to say, but do you really want your child's education to suffer by living your convictions? I regret that I did. And, when my child is struggling through college (if she/he gets there), he/she will pay for my convictions. Involved parents at this school and the feeder elementary school are frustrated parents. No returned calls. Teachers sick during scheduled conferences with no follow-up conversations. No access to assignments. Little access to teachers. Quit your job to babysit your child s education and hope for the best, or move. What would you do? Still not convinced, read the other reviews. Some are written in English, the rest in Paxon. F is too vague. 1 out of 10 is more accurate

This school does not even rate.Absolutly a joke! Would like to tell the priciple, but he has not returned any phones about the violence at his school. DANGER is what they should rename the school. Is there any body out there that can get control. I just wached a girl get the crap beat out her today on the scool property and not one teacher or officer was around to help. I pick my daughter up now because she was assaulted on the bus. I would not recommend anyone send there child to Paxon Middle School.

My wife and I have had nothing but problems. Every aspect of this school is of the lowest quality. Personal experiences there have gone from the staff at the front desk not knowing any school information, not even knowing the principles name, to not having a teacher for class just substitute after substitute teaching for over 6 months, which is unheard of and confusing for the kids because none of the substitutes had a lesson plan and jumped back and forth with the lessons, to not even knowing were our child is, yes folks my wife was waiting for our daughter at the bus stop and when it didn t show up she called the school who told her that they are not responsible for the busses to call the bus company, who informed her that the bus number did not exist. The bus showed up almost two hrs late.

I am a student at Paxon middle and there are no fun activities and not to many good teachers there. And the kids are terrible the teachers let them get away with stuff and thats wrong .And thats why I think axon Middle is a bad school.

My daughter was a student at Paxon Middle last yr in the Middle Years IB program. She takes advanced courses. Her teachers are wonderful. She is challenged in all of her advanced classes. She got a perfect FCAT reading score and I credit her teachers for preparing her for success. If a parent gets involved with the school and their child's education at Paxon, that child will also succeed.

Paxon Middle school is the most awful school my daughter has ever attended, it is no surprise to me that they received and F. While my daughter attended Paxon there was nothing but problems---from lockers, lunch, school projects to them having the wrong address in the system and it taking all year to fix the problem. We even had problems with the busses coming to pick the children up from our street. The busses just never showed up. I am still having problems with them----I have to go up there again and its summer. If you have choices don't send your child here, you will have nothing but problems

Paxon Middle needs to add more extacurricular activities. The students just don't have enough choices beyond band or chorus.

I'm not surprised that this school recieved and 'F'. Actually, I'm surprised that the doors are still open. It was bad when my mother went there. It was bad when my cousins went there. It was bad when I went there and I hated every day that my own child had to go there. I hope I never have to step foot in that school again.
