Martin Luther King, Jr Elementary School Reviews

In the critical times in which we live where children are prey, my top priority is my children's safety while in school. Due to the principal's implementation of and admin staff deligently following the established procedure, I rested assured that only authorized persons would have access to my children/grandchildren while in school, would not be released to an unauthorized person. My children's teachers are well trained, have positive attitudes, nurturing, dedicated and have high expectations for their students. The principal displays and emphasize positive reinforcement and encouragement for students. Several safety nets (one on one) were available for my struggling child this year which proved to be very beneficial in achieving above grade level performance in 3rd grade reading(comprehension). Self confidence has been reestablished and self esteem has been boosted. Additionally, participating in the concert chorus this year and having a great teacher has been instrumental in providing additional opportunities in performing arts.
