Greenfield Elementary School Reviews

I am not impressed with this school. I have ordered school pictures twice and never received them. The communication is very poor from staff and the excuse of no copy paper is used when important messages are not communicated.

this school is the best i ever been the teachers are nice and we learn alot at greenfield and the principal is nice and the people in the office are nice and help us alot so thats why i say this school is a great school. :)

Great area. Great School. This school was great for my son he looked foward going there every day.

My child has been at this school for the past 2 years. I feel that the teachers I have had direct contact with so far are great. Because Greenfield is smaller than many of the other elementary schools I have checked into, I feel my child has received a better education. After approximately 4-5 months of searching; visiting about 8 other elementary schools, attending magnet mania; and talking to not just the staff at the school, past and current students and their parents, I believe I made the best choice for my child. I also love the fact that the past principle and her front office staff took the time to remember each and everyone of the students by face and name, which obviously is not a very easy thing to do with the many different cultures in this school.

Greenfield is a small school, which is great for kids and parents! This school has recruited some fresh young teachers with great ideas who love what they are doing. The teachers who have been there for many years are typically avoided by parents because they still have that 'old school' way of teaching and disciplining. (Except for the kindergarten teacher, who is terrific!) The principal (who is now leaving) has been great! Too bad she's going to another school. I wish I could say the same about the assistant principal. She tends to be undecisive & lacks consistency with discipline. She's easily intimidated by parents who think their kids do no wrong and therefore many kids go without discipline. (This doesn't send a great message to the kids!) The school rating has been a 'C', which suits the school. It's an 'okay' school, but doesn't exceed expectations. They have some great teachers, but like many schools, there are a few known 'bad seeds' which you should learn to avoid. If your kid is a good student who doesn't require extra help, they'll do fine at this school. However, if your student needs extra help or is struggling, there are very few, if any, safety net programs to identify and help these kids. I've seen a few kids who fell through the cracks & the school dropped the ball on them. (just a few...but still in my opinion, that's too many!). In opinion, this is an okay school, but I would probably shop around a little bit more.
