Fort Caroline Middle School Reviews

great enviorment for teens mi son begged me to go back da

This school is a huge disappointment to the community it serves. Fort Caroline lacks the ability to offer its students a safe environment and ethical, competent leaders. The Principle, Assistant Principles and Teachers are more concerned about their own agendas than improving the quality of education and environment for the youths attending this poor excuse for a school. If you are a parent that cares about your child's academic success do not enroll them at Fort Caroline Middle.

Ft.careoline is a great school which i would recomend to all parents with good careing teqchers or in other words the perfect school.

We move to Jacksonville, Fl from North, 6 months ago. So far i havent had good experience with the schools here in Jacskonville. My daughter went to Ft Caroline last year for about two months, the girls there was so cruel to her. The teachers stand around and gossip all day about other teachers and students. There are way too many fights for a school to have. The students who wish to fight should be expelled and not allowed to come back to the school. I think the discpline policy should be stricker to gare the students from fighting. We never expierence an educational building , to be a war zone. I have a daughter attenting there now and is moving just to get her in a less Hostile School so she can focus on learning.

This school isn't that bad. I like the my son's teachers but it is so dirty. They need better janitors because this school has to be the dirtiest but if they were cleaner it would be my number 1 choice for other parents.

I attend FCM this is my third year here and beign here is the greatest thing because the teacher are loving carin and are all about your education and not all schools are perfect we have our ups and downs but we will overcome @ conquer.

I think people have some preconcieved notions about FCM because of its location. It used to be just ok, but I think now it's a lot better. The teachers are very concerned about student success. There is daily after school help for homework, if your child is motivated enough to get help. If your kid doesn't want to learn, it's not the school's fault. If you don't like things about the school, get involved in the PTA. Remember you are the example for your kids; if you just sit back and expect something for nothing, so will your children.

Fort caroline middle school is the best school i have ever been too...i have been to 3 different school and FC is the best. I dont know why people think its a bad school because it is not. This school rules...this is my 3 and last year here. I love my teachers, the teachers will help you and give you only to help you get your grades up, and to all you parents who think its the schools fault for grades lowering...take that out on your kids not the school because i have been and A,B honor roll student all 3 years so its not the teachers or school....its your kids...but anyways i love this school and i will miss it next year.... submitted by Kaleigh

Fort Caroline is the best school I have ever attended I loved this school so did my sister everyone is friendly and nice. Now I'm in Ca and the school here is not better than FC

Fort Caroline is a good school. The field trips are fun(most of them are anyway.) My eighth grade teachers were very nice and helped you so you could make good grades.

This school is the best I have ever have ever been to. No other middle school can top this one. The teachers are great and you meet a lot of people from different nationalities because this school has the ESOL program. I was in the ESOL program myself. In conclusion, this the best school ever!!!!!!

This school provides a wonderful learning environment for students, and is growing better by the minute.

I read the other parents review, and most of them told me they have no idea and never attend or visit the school. My child got coputer training was in volved in a NASA Program involving the shuttle launch that took 2 years before she was allowed to run the program. I saw students building computers that they could take home. Their teachher told me that if I could not afford internet service he had a program to get dial up paid for ffor a year. My daughter wants to be at school every morning by 7:30 am ( school starts around 9:00 am) and wants to stay after school. She is on the Dolphin Team and can not get enough of whatt they are doing. I kept her ouut of a magnet school because of her teachers and I'm glad I did. You get what you want in public school.

Janitors dont keep the school 'tidy'. The girls locker rooms are always dirty and never swept. Acedemics are not very high and the coaches for sports do not put enough effort into pushing the students to win.

fort caroline was a great school loved it there and passed very well. just because they have problems that doesnt make it a bad school!

I was scared to send my kids to this school also. I heard so many bad things, but my kids have thrived here. There team of teachers are wonderful. I did not choose their teachers. Sometimes we get out of a school what we put into a school. If we are not part of the solution we are part of the problem. Get involved. Be the parent that helps change things. I really like Ft Caroline Middle School.

Sadly the ones at this school that do care about the kids aren't the ones who are around them on a daily basis. They aren't the ones teaching or disciplining them. I agree that children do fall through the cracks at this school. Parent involvment is the key and even then it may not be enough. The teachers need more training, not in academics, in children. They need to understand children better, individualize their work ect. by their personal needs. This would be alot easier for them if they didn't have such large classrooms. Meanwhile if the student can get past the first 15-30 minutes or more of their teacher trying to get ahold on their classroom and don't need the lost time in instruction they might be alright. But for those who need the lost time in class they have no hope of getting a fair education.

Ft. Caroline middle has got to be one of the worst schools in jacksonville. The students are wild and uncontrolled, the teachers have the worst-i don't care attitutde of any school my son has ever attended. To me it is borderline one of those inner city schools you see on movies. I have enrolled my son in a magnet school for next year. He will have to ride the bus for almost an hour to get there but it is all worth it in my eyes. His grades a bad (he has always been an honor roll student until ft. Caroline) and he is bulleyed and scared of the gangster kids who run crazy at this school. Take a hard look---these are our tax dollars at work---!~!!

Your kids will probably fall through the cracks at this school. Teachers don't care. School is dirty. Not a good enviornment. I don't feel there is much positive in this school.

Ft Caroline Middle School here in Jacksonville, Fl with its nice, clear ,and clean beaches, has learning on an International Standard. This school is host to over 30 diffrent nations and they all work together to make the grade from Esl(English as a second Language Program) to having small class sizes(20 to 1 ratio).
